Phillip Gale Howard was born November 13, 1953 to Forrest and Wanda Howard in Beloit, KS. He passed away on May 2, 2007 at the age of 53.
He graduated from Burr Oak High School in 1972. On December 28, 1975 he married Trela Rafferty and to this union was born two children, Wesley and Stefanie. They made their home in Burr Oak and he worked at Dubuque Packing Co. In 1985 they moved to Andover, Ks where he worked at Prairieland Processors and Boeing. He recently graduated from WATC with a degree in heating and air and was currently employed with US Beef.
Phil enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. He loved working with his hands and no project was
too large or small for him. He was always there to lend a helping hand to friends and
family. He will be deeply missed by many. He was preceded in death by father, Forrest.
Survivors: wife, Trela, Andover, son ,Wesley, Olympia, WA. daughter, Stefanie , Royal,
AR, mother, Wanda, Burr Oak, brothers, Brian (Jeanette) and children Melinda and Kevin, Edmond, OK, Rodney (Barb), Burr Oak , KS, sister, Denise Gunn and daughter Cori, Burr Oak, aunt and uncle, Naotha and Bob Miller, Rapid City, SD and numerous extended family members. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Burr Oak Christian Church.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, May 7, 2007 at the Christian Church in Burr Oak, KS Interment at the Burr Oak Cemetery
