Ethel Lucile "Butts" Ozmun, age 100, died Wed., Dec. 23, 2020 at Hilltop Lodge Nursing Home, Beloit, Kansas. Lucile was born on November 16, 1920 in Jewell County, Kansas to Reuben and Mary (Hoffer) Butts.
Lucile was a graduate of Jewell High School.
On January 25, 1941 she married Stanley Ozmun. To this Union 4 children were born, Gail, Iris, Ralph and Carole. Stanley preceded her in death on January 10, 1993.
Lucile was a homemaker and loving mother and wife.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, VFW Women’s Auxiliary. Lucile also taught Sunday school for many years.
Lucile enjoyed making pictures from kits that used embroidery thread. She also loved sewing and making herself clothing as well as her children.
Lucile is survived by her son, Ralph Ozmun (Lula), Dandridge, TN; son-in-law, Ken Thompson, Broken Arrow, OK; 2 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Mary, husband, Stanley, a son, Gail Ozmun, 2 daughters, Iris Ozmun and Carole Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 pm at the Melby Mortuary.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Melby Mortuary, Mankato, Kansas with Pastor Dan Daniels officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mankato, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Trinity United Methodist Church, Jewell, Kansas in care of the Melby Mortuary, PO Box 384, Mankato, Kansas 66956.
