Jerry Elton Conn

Jerry Elton Conn was born July 28, 1949, at Phillipsburg, Kansas to Jelw James and Nellie Irene (Wheeler) Conn.  He died Saturday, July 13, 2019 at his home in Mankato, Kansas at the age of 69 years, 11 months, and 15 days.

Jerry was a high school graduated, and continued at a vo-tech school.  Jerry went into the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict.  After being discharged he worked in law enforcement at Grand Island, Nebraska, and later was a contract hauler for the Omaha World Herald Newspaper.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter – Brooke Conn on October 10, 1992; and a brother - Larry J. Conn.

Jerry is survived by daughters – Ginger Garcia of Salina, Kansas and Rebecca and husband Evan Standingrock, Sr. of Billings, Montana; and a son – William (Bill) Conn of Mankato, Kansas; sister - Patricia Rasch of Abilene, Kansas; brother – Mike Conn of Centralia, Missouri; and four grandchildren.

Jerry’s requested that he would be cremated.  His cremains will be inurn at Fort McPherson Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska at a later date.

Melby Mortuary, Mankato, Kansas, was in charge of arrangements.
