Patricia Ruth Malsbury

Patricia Ruth Malsbury passed away in Salina, Kansas on August 26, 2025. She was born in Mankato, Kansas, on December 10, 1938, to Theodore and Ila (Mills) Malsbury.

Patricia attended school in Mankato, Kansas and graduated from Mankato High School in 1957.

Patricia was married, had five children, and was primarily a stay-at-home Navy wife. Time permitting, she worked various part-time jobs. She spent her time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Patricia was a member of Emmanuel Four Square Church. She attended various Bible Study groups. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, faith-based books, and books on natural health. She also enjoyed and was quite skilled at crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Ila, her former spouse, Dennise Streit, and her three siblings, Peggy Vader, Sharon Gronewoller, and Conley Malsbury.

Patricia will be missed by her children Teresa Nelsen of Salina, KS, Kathleen Perez (John) of Salina, KS, Michael Streit (Roberta) of Wichita, KS, Renee Mann (John) of Lindsborg, KS, and Darcel Murray (James)j of Salina, KS; grandchildren, Brandon Nelsen, Robie Arnold, Dustin Nelsen, Tabre Perez, Falynn Perez, Amanda May, Abigail King, Benjamin Streit, Levi Streit, Jacob Walker, Jeremy Walker, Braden Walker, Kayla Straub, and Thomas Murray; and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Melby Mortuary in Mankato, Ks on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Loren Houltberg will be officiating. The family will be available to meet with friends from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses and can be sent in care of Melby Mortuary, P.O. Box 384, Mankato, KS 66956.
