Twila May Morris, daughter of Cecil Russell and Irene (Bisbee) Figgins, was born June 7, 1940 on a farm near Burr Oak, Kansas. She departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the Jewell County Hospital, Mankato, Kansas.
She attended the Walnut country school #39 her eight years of grade school and then went on to complete her formal education attending the Burr Oak High School and graduated with the class of 1958.
She was united in marriage with Cleo Morris on June 8, 1958 at the Burr Oak Christian Church and established their home in Burr Oak.
Twila enjoyed her community, church and family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Cecil and Irene, her husband, Cleo, son, Eugene Morris, grand daughter, Emilee Robinson, brothers, Franklin, Glenn and Carl Figgins; sisters, Loreen Bird (Don), Carolyn Barnes; Fern Reed, her brothers-in-law, Merl Reed, Norman Pletcher and Jr. Mills.
Surviving is her daughter, Kathy Robinson (Tim), Mt. Pleasant, TX; son, Vernon Morris (Kari), Mankato, KS; Eight grandchildren, Twenty great grandchildren, her sisters, Charlotte Pletcher, Mankato, KS; Pauline Mills, Colorado Springs, CO; Marilyn (Rick) Warneking, Burr Oak, KS; Joan Pate (Terry), Esbon, KS; sister-in-law, Karen Figgins; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service from 10-11 am on Monday, August 3, 2026 at the Burr Oak Christian Church, Burr Oak Kansas, with the family greeting friends at this time.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 3, 2026 at the Burr Oak Christian Church in Burr Oak, Kansas with Pastor Travis Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Burr Oak Cemetery, Burr Oak, Kansas. Following the graveside service there will be a luncheon served back at the Burr Oak Community Center for family and friends.
